Celebrate Slinfold’s legendary runner Alf Shrubb by taking part in the Alf Shrubb Memorial Races in September 2027 (date TBC). Run a 10k or 5k trail race, bring the family for the children’s races, and help support local community causes.

The only criticism is there was no podium photo for 1st 2nd and 3rd. Same because I may never get 2nd in an event again. Well never say never

Lovely scenic mixed terrain trail run.
Only negative is that I wasn’t directed by the marshal to turn round on the 5k course so ended up doing an extra 450m and missed out on a top 10 place and 1st in my age group.

What a lovely 10k
Such a nice race to come by to. Really friendly, great marshalls, lovely host venue. Nice undulating route and I even managed a 'sprint' finish at the end! Plus the replica medal is fabulous. Thanks for organising a fantastic event.

This was my 2nd AS 10k and with a 1s PB.......
This event is just the right number, anymore and it may lose the Village feel.
A brilliant course and well worked out.

Average event based on the hype
I thought it would be more professionally run based on the hype they give about this apparent famous old runner but was quite disappointed that this was really not that organised. Yes the race ran and I got my medal but it just seemed a little cheap and somehow not living up to the way it was advertised.
