Picturesque setting for a run in the Sussex countryside
Clearer / better tannoy would have been helpful so that I could hear why the 10k was delayed. Beyond the organisers control but better weather would have made me more likely to sample the bar or cake stalls!
Many thanks for your comments. We have been reviewing the event and will be using a different PA system for the 2026 race. Thanks again, we value all feedback because it helps us improves the event.

Wonderful legacy to Alfred S
Definitely will be back again sometime soon. Really slick entry process and appreciated all the organisation and the yummy catering.
Richard Lane
Great fun with a lovely friendly feel
Colin Brookes
All round excellent event
Jamie McNish
Brilliant event for runners at all levels
Judy Carbone
Small friendly running event
An update on the entry page with Gpx and the briefest of info on the course to include something like ‘follows good quality trails’ would have put my mind at rest before the race. Not knowing if it was going to be a mud bath, loops (yuk) and how hilly it might be are just little things that can put people off - especially if they are not experienced trail runners or beginners
Many thanks for your feedback Judy. We are reviewing everything for the 2026 race and will provide as much information about the conditions before the race as we can. Hope to see you in September 26.

A lovely rural event, great course. Nice friendly atmosphere.
A really enjoyable event with a distance for everyone. Lovely course and well marshalled.
Some logistical issues possibly to iron out for next year perhaps, only little bits that didnt detract from the event.
Overall a great race, thanks.
Many thanks for your comments. Unforeseen timing issues on the one mile race had a knock-on effect on the overall organisation. We have reviewed this as a team and put measures in place to avoid this in future events. For example, we have adjusted the 5k route so that the 5k and 10k races can start together and help the schedule run more smoothly. We genuinely value feedback from runners because your comments help us improve the event and we appreciate you taking the time to share them.

Fantastic day - well done to the organisers
Christopher Lee
Great coirse
Pity the 5k was over distance by at least 300m
Many thanks for your feedback. For the 2026 race, we have adjusted the 5k route and the distance should be spot on. Thanks again, we genuinely value feedback from runners because your comments help us improve the event and we appreciate you taking the time to share them.

Absolutely fantastic
My first 10k for this race.
Travelled from to Bexhill-on-Sea to Haywards Heath to come with my daughter.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely people, great course and very well organised.
Would do it again and I'll remember to wear trail trainers next time

An enjoyable friendly run.
Something to think about improving:
The turn-around point for the 10k was very congested. There were runners slowing for the turn-around in the same space as the leaders running through to the finish. Add some locals walking their dogs through the same point at the same time and there’s the potential for accidents. We witnessed some near misses here. Perhaps there’s a way to improve things here by using some of the field that was set up for car parking? Or maybe ending the final lap slightly differently.
Many thanks for your feedback Graham. Sorry that it was congested at that point. We are reviewing everything for the 2026 race.

Great morning, recommend
Question on distance though, was the 5km actually 5km, my Garmin recorded 5.36km. Are times aggregated?
Many thanks for your comments. We are reviewing everything for the 2026 race and have changed the 5k route slightly. As a result, we believe that it will be very accurate with the revised route.
Frank Stone
Superb race, great marshals, cake and coffee.
Thank you for a fun day.
Michele Nixon
Top class event ! Excellent & Wonderful Day !
Suggestion : use the podium for 1st , 2nd , 3rd female & male in both the 5km and 10km & specific certificates for 1st , 2nd , 3rd ( in female & male ) in in 5km and 10km

Great Local Race
I really enjoyed this race. Not as hilly as first thought, which was a bonus. Amazing medal, great food and drink, lots of seating and toilets. Well done Horsham Joggers etc.
Teddy Spice
Good kids race
My husband was a little bit confused when a Marshall was telling him to be on the other side of the rope when running with our 4 year old. He needed to run with him to make sure he felt confident.
Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry this was confusing and we will review this.
Edwina Chandaman
Brilliant local race
Great organisation and love that it is a trail race.
Pat Radley
A really well organised event.
The trail run was lovely, really enjoyed it.
Robin Bertrand
Great race but very messy start
The 10k race started over 20 minutes late, which was frustrating. The race start was a walk away from the race village and required all runners to walk single file through a short alleyway - this didn't work and needs rethinking.
It was a very friendly race and the organisers were doing their best but it wasn't great! I'll certainly be back next year and I hope the problems are ironed out.
Many thanks for your feedback. Unforeseen timing issues on the one mile race had a knock-on effect that delayed the 5k and 10k races and impacted the overall organisation of the event. We have reviewed this and put measures in place to avoid this in future events. For example, we have adjusted the 5k route so that the 5k and 10k races can start together and help the schedule run more smoothly. We also have plans to take runners to the start in different ways. Thanks again for your comments, they help us improve the event.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere and enjoyable route. Well marshalled and supported.
It will be no surprise that I say that the start was a bit of a shambles. The wait, bottleneck walk to the start and restricted start area detracted from an otherwise great venue, lovely atmosphere and great course. The start can be easily rectified with a few changes and I would certainly come back and recommend to others. If this was sorted. Otherwise, well done All.
