Celebrate Slinfold’s legendary runner Alf Shrubb by taking part in the Alf Shrubb Memorial Races in September 2027 (date TBC). Run a 10k or 5k trail race, bring the family for the children’s races, and help support local community causes.

Fantastic event. Brilliantly organised.
I loved the event and thought it was brilliantly organised and had a great atmosphere. One minor observation - I thought maybe there should have been a marshal at the point where the two small bridges were - just in case of accidents / slips. Brilliant event though. Thank you to all the organising team and the volunteers.

I have done a few local 10k runs now and this is by far one of the best ones I have done, really well organised, lot's of toilets, good atmosphere, good food afterwards and friendly volunteers, thanks :)

Lovely atmosphere, great route, well organised.
A few of the 5k runners missed the peel off from the 10k route and ended up running against the flow of the 10k runners - maybe worth reviewing signage and marshals here for next year.

Small point - if you want to start at 11:00 on time, you need to move the field from the main field earlier.

Maybe a signpost from the car park as I followed everyone who was going to the junior start rather than the next path along which would have taken me straight to the green!
Safety pins in the envelopes with our numbers was a very thoughtful touch.

A friendly, well-organised event.
A very positive experience. There was a lovely and friendly atmosphere, and the run itself provided (for me) a good introduction to light, multi-terrain running. The scenery was lovely and varied. The route was clear, and the marshals were all encouraging and friendly. I think the course is fine for beginners, but the 5k option might be more suitable for some.
